Jay Abraham After reading my story (in the "ABOUT" section), you might think that I'm "nuts" about Jay Abraham... and you'd be right, to an extent.
I do think that Jay Abraham is one of the most influential marketing consultants alive today. I also think that you have to be careful whenever you hear words like "one of the most influential marketing consultants alive today."
See, I've spoken with countless lawyers who believe in magic. In other words, they think that there really is a magic "Easy Button" like in the Staples commercials, or there is some sort of Harry Potter magic wand that they can wave and... *poof* ...
...they become so rich and famous... that they only take one case every five years... because the rest of the time, they're too busy eating sugar-dipped grapes while enjoying Swedish massages in a hot tub.
You'd be surprised at the fantasies some lawyers have. At my old cold-calling job, I was trained to ask lawyers, "So, what are you going to do with all that extra money you're going to make?" It's called "Dream Elicitation" -- the sales trainers taught us to "Discover their dream, and then sell them that dream." That's when I discovered that some lawyers really believe in magic.
I'm sorry, but I'm here to tell you that there is no such thing as magic.
However, the next best thing to magic is Jay Abraham (www.abraham.com). He's a real-life marketing wizard.
Now, you can't just touch him and suddenly become a trillionaire (remember what I said about fantasies?)... but if you steadily apply his principles, you will at least double your practice in as little as 6 to 9 months.
See, Jay Abraham has helped over 10,000 clients in more than 400 industries worldwide.
Here Are Some Examples:
-- He took a $20,000 per year startup idea called Icy Hot to $13 million in 18 "fast track" months.
-- He took Entrepreneur Magazine from $700,000 to $8,000,000 in an incredible nine month's time.
-- He made Inc. Magazine's Entrepreneur of the Year a staggering $35 million in 18 months.
-- He gave Jack Canfield the idea for the bestselling book series Chicken Soup for the Soul.
-- He made the publisher Nightingale-Conant $900,000 in 60 days, then $10 million more --- in the next 15 months.
According to Fortune magazine, Jay is the highest paid marketing consultant on the planet ($5,000 per hour -- $40,000 per day). He makes top law firms' hourly billing look like peanuts. People line up to pay him $25,000 each to participate in his expensive seminars.
He has made billions of dollars for his clients, as well as millions for himself.
How did he become such a marketing whiz? Where did he come from?
Well, much of his marketing genius comes from studying the practices of one industry and applying it to another. Basically, he borrows the strategies that he learns from one client and introduces it to another client in a different industry. In this way, be helps clients think "outside the box."
He has also studied the great marketing masters from the first half of the 20th century, when advertising was in its "Golden Age." If you look at back issues of Life magazine in the early-to-mid 1900s, you'll discover what I mean by "Golden Age."
These old-time marketing masters invented many of the things that are commonplace today: the "upsell," the "free sample," the "till forbid" subscription, and many other basic marketing fundamentals.
Here's what Jay had to say about his marketing education:
"Only a few people outside my 'inner circle' realize that the bulk of the wealth I have created for myself and my clients over the years is a direct result of the influence and philosophies of some of the great strategists and marketing minds from the past. Unquestionably, Claude Hopkins is the master. His influence has easily added over six million dollars to my personal income. David Ogilvy is right up there too. He probably contributed two or three million more. Rosser Reeves taught me a lot. So too, did John Caples." -- Jay Abraham
After having absorbed the secrets of these old-time marketing whizes, and applying them to over 10,000 businesses, Jay Abraham became a modern-day marketing genius himself.
I've talked to some attorneys who don't like Jay Abraham, calling him an "overpriced guru." Most of these attorneys also believe that you can buy a secret book containing magic spells... that can turn your clients into stacks of shiny coins.
Listen: If these strategies have worked for over 10,000 companies... to the tune of billions of dollars in revenue... and it's not working for you... you're simply not using the strategies correctly. In other words, it's not the marketing strategy; it's you.
What I'm trying to say is this: If Jay can't help you, then no one can. Jay Abraham has my highest recommendation.
